Process
Our Collision Repair
The Haddock Process
-
Quote and Authorization
Make an appointment for a quote or drive in when it’s convenient. We’ll give you the most accurate estimate possible based on what we can see (and based on our vast experience with the “hidden damage”). If you have a lower quote from another shop, chances are it’s not as thorough. Once you sign the estimate, we can get to work.
-
Repair and Painting
We’ll work your car in as soon as possible—or sooner under special circumstances. After it’s fully repaired, we’ll match its paint exactly using computer technology. While you can expect your car to be delivered on the date we give you, feel free to contact us at any time with additional questions.
-
Inspection and Delivery
When repairs and final painting are complete, we’ll let you know your car is ready for pickup. Haddock technicians inspect your car during every step of the repair, but one critical inspection remains: yours. If you’re not completely satisfied, let us know and we’ll do whatever we can so you drive away happy.
- Do you work with any insurance company?
- Yes. We can fix your car, regardless of what insurance company covers you. We have relationships with all the major carriers and will handle all the details.
- Can you match my car’s paint exactly?
- Yes. Because even two green 2007 Honda Accords can have subtle differences, we don’t use “stock manufacturer colors.” We custom mix and match the paint for your vehicle.
- Why do estimates differ?
- Since all body shops charge the same for labor and parts, the difference is in how thorough the estimate is. We try to avoid surprises, but once we take a car apart, there may be additional damage not anticipated in the original quote.
- Do I need more than one estimate?
- No. However, if you already have another estimate, show it to us and we’ll explain how ours compares. If you like our estimate, it’s the only one you need.
- Is your estimate 100% accurate?
- We have given you a visual estimate. This means we have assessed your car’s damage to the best of our ability based on what we can see—and based on what we suspect. Once we take your car apart, there may be additional damage. If there is, we’ll quote it and—with your permission—repair it.
- What if someone else gives me a lower estimate?
- Chances are, it’s not as thorough. We don’t try to hide any
damage from you—no one likes surprises. Compare theirs to ours, and you’re likely to see more items on a Haddock estimate. That only means we’re being honest with you up front about the extent of the damage. Bring any estimate to Haddock and we’ll explain the difference.
- What if I don’t know who’s paying for my repair?
- Chances are, it’s not you. We have relationships with all the major insurance companies and will handle all the details. And if the responsible party wants to pay directly, it’s even more important that you get the most thorough estimate possible.
- Who picks the parts?
- You want the best quality repair, and so do we. However, insurance companies differ on their policies regarding original parts—no matter who is repairing your car. In the end, the choice is yours. We can discuss all your options with you in detail and offer guidance.
- Can you repair any kind of car?
- Absolutely. Haddock’s technicians are intimately familiar with all foreign and domestic cars. That means you don’t need to take your import to a “certified” repair shop for your particular brand.
- Do I have to get an estimate before authorizing work?
- Not at all. Feel free to simply drop your car off or have it towed to your nearest Haddock location.
- What will the accident do to my insurance rates?
- That is a question for your insurance agent.
- How long will my repair take?
- Haddock Collision turns repairs around 40% faster than the industry average. We will get to your car as quickly as possible, even transferring it to another location to expedite your repair if necessary. We can give you an actual delivery date when you bring your car in. If you have a special need, let us know so we can prioritize your car accordingly.
- Do you use “Bondo?”
- No.
- I just have a small scratch on one fender—do you do repairs like that?
- For extremely small jobs, a dent-and-paint shop will probably give you a more competitive price.
- Do I have to pay up front?
- No, you pay when your repairs are complete and you are completely satisfied. If you have a check from your insurance company, you can sign it over to us.
- Do you guarantee your work?
- The Haddock Pledge guarantees your satisfaction and the repair and paint work for as long as you own the vehicle.
- If I don’t need a rental car, can you give me a ride home?
- Sure.
